Marcela is a fertility specialist who also performs gynaecological surgery and general obstetrics at St George Private and Kareena Private Hospitals. She is able to assist patients with a wide range of fertility concerns, as well as early pregnancy care and delivery.

Marcela obtained her medical degree from the University of Sydney, before training in various hospitals in New South Wales, including St George, Sutherland and the Royal Hospital for Women. She undertook further specialised studies whilst completing her initial medical training, subsequently graduating with an Honours degree in Genetics from the University of New South Wales.

As well as being a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Marcela has since attained a Master of Reproductive Medicine.

Marcela firmly believes in supporting her patients through the entirety of their fertility treatment, and thoroughly enjoys the reward of safely delivering babies, whether conceived naturally or through IVF.

One of the most distinctive features of Marcela’s practice is her commitment to carefully explaining the grounds for her medical decisions. By doing so, she ensures that all of her patients are well informed of the risks, benefits, and likely outcomes associated with her professional advice and treatment.
